Danny started karting in 1993. He moved into cars in Formula First and won the 1998 championship with Mark Burdett Motorsport, taking 12 wins.
He finished third in the Formula Palmer Audi Winter Series the same year, then raced a full Formula Palmer Audi season in 1999.
